I'm Brandon Carneiro. I write Ground That Holds.

The lanes are technology, faith, apologetics, family, and the body. What connects them is a single question: what happens to a person when the ground under them turns out to be sand. I write from Christian conviction, and the conviction is load-bearing. It isn't a closing sentiment applied to a secular argument. It's the reason the argument runs the direction it does.

These are long pieces. They walk into the hard question from inside it rather than commenting on it from a safe remove, and they try to find the place where the common frame is wrong before they say anything else. I don't tie things off. If the cost of getting something right is high, the essay leaves that cost on the page.

I spent years building a direct-to-consumer wine company to many millions in sales on no paid acquisition, in a market where nobody buys anything on specifications. They buy on whether they trust the person telling them. That taught me more about how belief actually moves than anything I'd read about it.

Now I'm the founder and CEO of PILLAR, a Christian AI company. Christians are already bringing their most important questions of faith to AI. The first answer is the one they remember. PILLAR exists so that answer is worth remembering. I'm relocating to Nashville to build it inside the culture it serves.

I wrote a book called Pillars: How to Build Your Life on Rock, Christian nonfiction on faith, truth, and character. The essays here and the book are the same argument in two forms.

I have two kids in California. They outrank everything but the faith.
